The horn handle measures approximately 5.5 inches long and is joined to the shaft with a silver band. The silver band is inscribed: “C.T.D. Hope from B.C.M.G. Gibbs 1893” and bears the hallmark M H 830 S, consistent with Scandinavian silver, most likely Norwegian.
