The set includes all 32 chess pieces, made from heavy resin with felt‑covered bases. The pieces are highly detailed sculptural figures depicting historical themes, with cherubs used as the pawns. The king figure is styled in the manner of a 17th‑century English monarch, with period costume and facial features typical of that era, adding strong collector and display appeal. One side of the set is finished in jet black, the opposing side in a warm tan tone. Suitable for display or playing, this is a striking decorative piece as well as a functional chess set.
