Our Product Photography Standards

At Longfield Hospice Care, we aim to provide clear, accurate, and consistent photographs so you can shop with confidence. Photographs form an important part of every listing and help show the condition, features, and overall appearance of an item before purchase.

Our Photography Approach

We photograph every item individually before it is listed for sale. Our goal is to provide images that accurately represent the item and allow customers to assess its condition and suitability.
We do not use stock photos for pre-owned items. The first image will likely have the background removed but all other pictures will generally be the exact original photo of the item.

What We Photograph

Where appropriate, photographs may include:
  • The front, back, sides, and key angles of the item
  • Manufacturer labels, tags, or branding
  • Model numbers, serial numbers, or identifying marks where relevant
  • Included accessories, manuals, packaging, or components
  • Measurements where useful
  • Important features or unique details

Showing Condition Honestly

We aim to photograph items as accurately as possible.
Where visible, we will try to include photographs of:
  • Marks and stains
  • Scratches and scuffs
  • Chips or cracks
  • Wear and tear
  • Missing parts
  • Repairs or alterations
  • Any other significant flaws identified during listing
These photographs are intended to help you make an informed purchasing decision.

Clothing And Fashion Items

For clothing, footwear, and accessories, we aim to provide photographs that clearly show:
  • Overall appearance and style
  • Brand labels and sizing information
  • Patterns, colours, and key design features
  • Any visible signs of wear or flaws
Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen settings and lighting conditions.

Electrical And Electronic Items

For electronics and electrical goods, photographs may include:
  • The item powered on where possible
  • Screens, displays, and indicators
  • Connection ports and sockets
  • Included accessories and cables
  • Model and serial information where appropriate

Lighting And Backgrounds

We use consistent lighting and neutral backgrounds wherever possible to ensure products can be viewed clearly.
While we strive for colour accuracy, slight variations may occur due to camera settings, lighting conditions, and individual device displays.

Multiple Images

Most listings contain multiple photographs. We strongly recommend reviewing all images, as they form part of the item description.
Different photographs may show additional details that are not fully visible in a single image.

Our Commitment To Accuracy

We do our best to ensure photographs accurately represent the item being sold at the time of listing.
As most of our stock is donated and many items are pre-owned, minor signs of use may occasionally be present that are not visible in every image. Any significant issues identified during listing will be disclosed through photographs and/or the item description wherever possible.
