A Young Man Comes To London By Michael Arlen Keliher & Co Ltd 1931 This charming book, published to celebrate the opening of The Dorchester in London in 1931, is a satirical romance taking place in Mayfair in the 1920s. Author Michael Arlen was a well-known a London society figure. Cecil Beaton provided the colourful illustrations. The second half is a description of the building and interiors of the new Dorchester by the Hotel's developers Sir Francis Towle and Sir Malcolm McAlpine. In nice fresh clean condition inside with a few faint foxing spots and light smudge marks All six colour plates checked and in nice shape. Some have minor creases around edges and in centre fold.
